USATestPrep BenchMark Assessments

WHO: SCHS Students in English, Math, Science, or Social Studies classes

WHAT: USATestPrep Benchmark Assessments in English, Math, Science, and Reading

WHEN: Week of September 21. Due September 25.

HOW: English, Math, Science, and Social Studies Teachers will send USATestPrep credentials to students in their classes by Monday, September 21. Students will access the assessment at and enter the code from their google classroom assignment. Each section of the assessment will have its own code. The grade for this assessment will be participation-based. However, scores will be reviewed by teachers throughout the year and tasks/activities may be assigned based on this information.

WHY: Benchmark assessments help teachers understand what students know today so that goals can be set to improve growth throughout the year. This assessment will be taken by students three times this year. Students are not expected to know all the answers to benchmark assessments and are encouraged to complete the work on their own.

Please note: Our paper/pencil students will receive the assessments in their September 22 packets and will return them at the following drop off/pick up date.

Please contact your student's teacher or Cindy Anderson ( with any questions you may have regarding this district-wide assessment.
