Welcome to the Guidance Department



Updated progress grades for the mid-term of the 3rd grading period are ready for you to check in Infinite Campus.  Please log in to your account and make note of the grade for each class your student is taking this year.   Parents, please talk with your student about any missing assignments or low grades and contact your student’s teacher(s) directly if you have concerns about their grades.   The 3rd grading period will end on Mach 17th and report cards will go out shortly thereafter.

More than 615 Individual Scholarships will be distributed through these 15 programs.  Deadlines from January 31 - March 30.

American Legion Post # 24 Scholarship

The American Legion Post # 24 will be awarding multiple $1000 Scholarships.  You must be related to an active American Legion member of Post #24.  Click on the link above for more info, eligibility requirements and to apply. Application deadline is April 28, 2021.

BCTC ASPIRE Scholarship

This is a $500-$1000 renewable scholarship for African American High School Seniors planning to attend BCTC.  ASPIRE provides African American students with appropriate programs and services while demonstrating understanding and appreciation of diverse background and academic goals.  Click on link above for more info.  Click here to complete an interest form.

BGCAP Scholarship

The Blue Grass Community Action Partnership Community Service Scholarship is a $750 scholarship to provide financial assistance to students in Scott and surrounding counties.  Click on the link above for eligibility requirements and the application. Application deadline is April 12, 2021.

Blue Grass Community Foundation

BGCF is offering several different scholarships for seniors.  Click on the link above for instructions on how to apply.  Click here to register to apply.

CK Tactical Scholarship

CK Tactical will award $1000 to a deserving student from SCHS and GCHS each year who has made a positive impact on their community.

Commonwealth Credit Union Scholarship

CCU is offering four $1000 scholarships to graduating Seniors!!  They focus less on GPA and more on celebrating students who are making a difference in the world around them.  Click on the link above to apply and learn more.  Application deadline is March 15, 2021 @ 5:00pm.

CIEE Studying Abroad Scholarships

CIEE has a mission to help people gain understanding, acquire knowledge and develop skills for living in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world.  Click on the link above.

Scott County Farm Bureau Scholarship

The local Farm Bureau agency is sponsoring a scholarship to a High School Senior.  Parent must be a SC Farm Bureau member.  For eligibility requirements and the application click on the link above.  Application deadline is May 1, 2021.

February Scholarships

Georgetown Woman's Club Scholarship

This is a $1000 scholarship given to a female student.  Please click on the link above for the application.  Application deadline is April 16, 2021.

Hanover College Music Scholarship

These scholarships are for new students to play in Concert Band or Orchestra.  For more information and the scholarship application click on the link above.

KFRW Scholarship

The Kentucky Federation of Republican Women grants a $1500 scholarship to a senior female student, who has been politically active within the republican party, and is a registered Republican.  Click on the above link for the application.  Application must be mailed and postmarked no later than April 1, 2021 to:  Tina Fox-KFRW Scholarship Chair-206 West 13th Street-Benton KY 42025.

Minuteman Scholarship

The Minuteman Scholarship is available to Soldiers in the Kentucky National Guard that are Enrolled in ROTC. KY Guard Provides 100% Paid Tuition for State Schools or up to $11K per year for Private Schools, as well as many other benefits.  Click on the link above for more info.

OppU Achievers Scholarship

This is a $2500 scholarship available to seniors with a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0.  Click on the link above for more info & to apply. Application/Essay deadline is March 31, 2021 & June 30, 2021.

Scott County Woman's Club Scholarship

This is a $2000 scholarship given to a graduating SCHS female with at least a 3.0 GPA.  Click on the link above for the application, there will also be copies in the guidance office that can be picked up. When complete please turn into the guidance office on or before the application deadline. Application deadline is April 30, 2021.

Student-View Scholarship

This Scholarship is offering $13,000 worth of scholarships to seniors who plan to attend a four-year college, community/junior college or career school.  To learn more about this scholarship and to apply, click on the link above.  Scholarship deadline is April 22, 2021.
