Scott County Cardinal

It’s a great day in Cardinal Nation where we are creating a culture of excellence. This is an important update message from Principal Williams.

Hello Cardinal Family! We first want to thank you for all of your support, patience and immense displays of love towards our students, staff and community during these unprecedented times. We know there are several questions regarding typical school items during this time of year, that we simply did not have answers to until recently. What we know now will be a good start to answering some frequently asked questions.

The last day of school for students is Friday, May 15th. As we enter the last leg of the school year, this communication will focus on the following general school topics:

  • ~Return of school items/personal belongings
  • ~NTI work due dates/drop off options
  • ~Refund for Prom Tickets
  • ~Grades/report card information.

Return of Items

SCHS will have a curbside system to receive items to be returned as well as provide families with items left in student lockers. Curbside return dates are still pending; however, please consider doing the following to prepare:

~If you have items to return to the school, please place all items in a trash bag and label the outside of the bag with the student first name, last name, and grade level.

NTI due dates and drop off

The last set of NTI assignments was provided this week and included work through May 8. All work for this term is due no later than Tuesday, May 12. We are encouraging students who are able to send this work to staff electronically via email, remind, etc. If your student needs to turn in paper copies of work, there will be drop off boxes at the front door on May 12 from 8:30 am- 2:30 pm.

Refund for Prom Ticket Purchase

Refunds for prom tickets will be issued from the Scott County Board of Education by May 15th. Checks will be mailed to the address given to SCHS at the time of purchase.

Grades and Report Cards

Student final grades and report cards will be mailed out the week of May 25. We encourage you to check Infinite Campus for the most updated, real time information on your student’s grades. If you have questions about your student’s grades, please reach out to their teacher or counselor via email. If you have transcript questions, please contact the school registrar via email at

Contacting the School

In an effort to keep all of our employees and their families safe, we have been operating with very limited staff in the building and specific to those who serve in life-sustaining roles. If you need to get in touch with someone at the school, please email them. If you are unsure of who to contact regarding a question or concern, please utilize the “Contact Us” feature at the bottom of our school webpage here and we will get your question to the correct person and answered as quickly as possible. (Click HERE for link)

Class Specific Information

We understand that although this call has provided some answers to general school questions, there may be some grade-level specific information that you still need to know. We will send separate IC message communication regarding those things. If you have grade-level specific questions that have not yet been answered, please utilize the “Contact Us” feature at the bottom of our school webpage to get those questions to us.

We certainly miss seeing our students and families every day. Thank you for being our partner as we navigate through this uncertain time together. Remember: Be Passionate. Be Engaged. Be the Best Version of Yourself. Be Excellent. GO CARDS!
