In October we studied: matter, living things, non-living things, life cycles and presented our Tree Projects. Students are reading daily and improving comprehension skills. We are writing sentences and discussing nouns, adjectives and action verbs. Students should be able to: identify numbers 0-130, sequence numbers, count by 2s, 5s and 10s. Among many other math skills, we are mastering addition and subtraction facts.

When reading with your child, ask them about the characters and setting. Have them retell the story with a beginning, middle and end. Use flash cards to practice addition, subtraction and sight words.

Thank you for your time and support.
