SCS Assessment Calendar




Benchmark Assessment

Benchmark assessments, also called interim assessments are given multiple times throughout  the year to assess student understanding and level. The goal is to identify students' academic strengths and areas of growth in order to guide future instruction, support individual student success and support accountability tests. 



Measures of Academic Progress 

MAP is given to all students in grades K-8 three times a year to monitor progress and growth.

USA Test Prep

USA Test Prep is a practice ACT program that offers assessment and test practice resources. All students in grades 9-11 are given a practice ACT assessment using USA Test Prep 2-3 times per year.

Kentucky Performance Rating for Educational Progress
Grades 3-8, 10, 11
Subjects: Reading, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and Writing
Window: During 5 consecutive days within the last 14 instructional days of the district's calendar

Grade 11
Window: March
Test Required for Students on the Early Graduation Pathway
Tested upon completion of high school credit for Algebra II, Biology, English 10 and U.S. History.



Language Proficiency assessment for students who are English Learners (EL)
