Administrators at Scott County High School were made aware of a threat of violence on Tuesday, April 18. The threat was fully and immediately investigated by school and police officials. Nothing was found to substantiate it. Overnight, rumors of the threat began to circulate on social media and have continued early this morning.
Superintendent Dr. Kevin Hub has been in contact with police officials this morning, April 19, 2017. Local police agencies worked through the night to investigate the situation again. Officers have assured us that the threat is not credible but, as an extra safety measure, there will be added police presence on the campus of Scott County High School today.
Student safety is our top priority. Scott County Schools will be in session on normal schedule.
