One parent, elected by the presidents of the parent-teacher organizations of the schools in the district, will serve on the Superintendent Screening Committee.
Any parent interested in being considered for nomination to the Screening Committee, or who would like to nominate another parent, may do so by calling Carolyn McMillin at the Central Office of Schools at (502) 863-3663. Parents must complete a written nomination form and return it to Central Office no later than Friday, January 4, 2008 to be considered. Written nominations can also be mailed to the attention of Carolyn McMillin at 2168 Frankfort Road, Georgetown, KY 40324. Requests for nomination forms can be emailed to email@example.com.
After the list of nominees is complete, presidents of respective parent-teacher organizations throughout the district will then elect one parent for the Superintendent Screening Committee.
The target date for completion of this work and announcement of the Superintendent Screening Committee is February 1, 2008. With gaining momentum and community support, a highly qualified and dedicated superintendent will be in place prior to the retirement of Superintendent Dr. Dallas Blankenship effective June 30, 2008.
