Paul Krueger continues his service to Scott County Schools as Director of Elementary Education. Krueger has been Principal of Stamping Ground Elementary School for 10 years. During his 21 years of experience in education, Krueger taught in Florida and at Southside Elementary School in Woodford County. Krueger completed his administration degree at Eastern Kentucky University and was Principal of Bald Knob Elementary in Franklin County before his tenure at Stamping Ground Elementary.
“I am honored to be chosen to lead our elementary schools,” Krueger said. “We have a tremendous team of elementary principals and talented teachers. I look forward to working with all the schools to continue building on the success of Scott County Schools.”
Krueger is pleased to continue as a part of Scott County School district but finds that leaving Stamping Ground Elementary is bittersweet. “It is very difficult to leave a wonderful school like Stamping Ground, especially after 10 years.” As the Director of Elementary Education, Krueger will rely on his strong working relationships with all eight of the district’s elementary schools. “I look forward to learning more about the great things happening in all of our elementary schools. I have always enjoyed collaborating with administrators and teachers throughout the district and I know that will be the best part of my new position,” Krueger added.
Under his leadership, Stamping Ground Elementary School has been named a Proficient and Progressing school through the K-PREP assessment for the past two years. Krueger has served on numerous district committees. Stamping Ground participated in a pilot program for the new Professional Growth and Effectiveness System (PGES) in effect for all principals and teachers across the state this year.
Paul Krueger and wife Melissa have two daughters, a sophomore at Western Kentucky University and a junior in high school.
