The Scott County Preschool Center, located near the intersection of Cardinal Drive and Long Lick Road, is a charming building filled with the excitement of young children. Students as young as three years old enter the facility to begin their education through play, social interaction, and guided learning.
The Center hosted its first-ever Open House recently to help young learners, and new parents, acclimate to the routines and expectations of school. Preschool teachers had the opportunity to get to know their students and families and introduce both to the fun-filled classroom centers and activities.
Family Resource Center Coordinator Scott Turner, assisted by Migrant Recruiter Diana Kuta, translated important school information for the benefit of hispanic families.
The first day of preschool for students in Scott County is scheduled for Tuesday, September 3, 2013. For details about eligibility and screenings, and more information about the preschool program, contact Principal Jennifer Smith at 502-868-0411.
