Scare Tactics for RSMS
Student leaders have taken an active role in the Haunting of Royal Spring Middle School scheduled for its second and final weekend on Friday, October 26 and Saturday, October 27.
From 6-10:00pm both evenings parents, teachers, administrators and students transform the school into a zombie graveyard and Frankenstein's laboratory, among many options designed to thrill the community audience. On the opening night of the haunted house the PTSA sold over 200 tickets!
Parent Douglas Calhoun was able to express his creative side with amazing props and scenery throughout the scarefest, much to the delight of his son who commented, "My favorite part was watching my dad make props, taking simple things like cardboard and turn it in to something pretty cool."
Student representatives warn the haunted house may not be appreciated by young children and strobe lights are in use. Having attended the haunted house, the author can attest to the creativity and talent of those involved in this exciting event. My children, ages 6 and 10, thoroughly enjoyed the family outing, especially the part where their terrified mother ran screaming from the building!
A good time for all at RSMS this weekend, 6-10:00pm Friday and Saturday.
