Free Meals for Students

Last Updated: 9/4/2020 4:43 PM

Thanks to a waiver approved by the federal government, Scott County Schools will continue to provide free breakfast and lunch meals free for anyone age 18 or under.  The program will start on the first day of school for all students when we begin virtually, September 8, 2020.  Meal kits will be available for pick up Monday-Friday on school days.

Meals can be picked up from 11am-12pm at all Scott County schools with the exception of ECS and Scott County Preschool.  Drive thru to get meals at any location, regardless of the school of attendance.  As a result of this change, there is no longer a need for families to pre-order meals.

There will also be seven bus routes each with multiple stops throughout the community where families can pick up meals at convenient locations. Delivery times start at 11am.

CLICK HERE to view bus stops and estimated drop off times.  We appreciate your patience as our staff works out the details of these routes to confirm exact times for each drop off point.

March through July this year, Scott County Schools provided 487,653 meals to students.  We are dedicated to continuing this valuable service to meet the needs of students and families in our community.  With questions, please contact Nutrition Director Mitzi Marshall at (502) 570-3035 or
