***In order to facilitate the prompt return of your student notes, we have allowed several ways for you or your child to submit the notes for their recent absence. We will accept notes returned in the following ways:

  • You may have your child hand in a Doctor’s note or a handwritten parent note that briefly explains your student’s absence. Be sure to include the date(s) of the absence and a phone number where we can reach you, in case Mrs. Wagoner has any questions. (If you do not trust that your child will be responsible enough for this task, please choose one of the options below. The three (3) day timeline will still hold for notes that were supposed to be returned by a student who did not do so.)

  • You may hand deliver the Doctor’s note or parent note to the front office yourself, again, including your phone number in case there are any questions.

  • You may have your doctor’s office fax the note (or you may fax the note yourself) to Scott County Middle School at 502-863-7452. Please label your fax “Attention Mrs. Wagoner”, and again, include your contact information.

  • Lastly, you may email your parent note to our Attendance Clerk, Lori Wagoner, at the following email: lori.wagoner@scott.kyschools.us

**Parents just a reminder that the doors to the school DO NOT open until 8:20.  Students must be in Homeroom in their seats by 8:40 or they will be counted TARDY.  After 3 TARDIES the student WILL be written up. The side door that car riders enter lock at 8:38.
