ATTENTION 8TH GRADE BOYS - Anyone planning on playing Frosh Football next year is reminded about the 2 day mini-camp starting Wednesday night at 6 pm at the Fieldhouse!


ATTENTION 6TH & 7TH GRADE BOYS - Anyone  planning to  play  Middle School Football next year is invited to attend our middle school camp June 9/10 from 10 am to 1 pm.



YOUTH SOCCER SIGN-UPS - Georgetown/Scott County Youth Soccer sign-ups are now open at www.gscysa.com   Players between 4 and 13 years old are eligible, specific birthdate information can be found on the website.  Sign-ups close on June 30th.



* A BABY SITTING CLINIC will be held at Royal Spring Middle School on Monday, June 6, from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.  LUNCH will be provided.  The clinic is FREE and the registration deadline is June 1st.  The event is to be provided by UK Cooperative Extension Service of Fayette County.

* Scott County Middle School will be offering a FREE LAWN CARE WORKSHOP for students on Friday, June 17, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon. The two to three hour workshop will include information about lawn mower/weed eater safety and care as well as other tips about proper lawn care.

CAMP FOR THE FATHERLESS - Mr. Wilson shared information with me about the Team Focus Summer Leadership Camp for fatherless boys ages 10-18 years old, who have no father figure in their home or in their life (father or step-father not living in the home).  The camp will be at Georgetown College East Campus June 19- 21.  If you know of students that may qualify, let me know.  I have the camp information and registration forms that will be needed to apply.  Thanks!


ONE WORLD, MANY STORIES – SUMMER READING PROGRAM – This summer we challenge you to read 7 books about the 7 continents in 7 weeks!  Summer Reading Kick-Off Party @ Scott County Public Library Sunday, June 5th, 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM Get your reading Passport and learn the art of fan & sword dancing!  School “Super Readers” Competitions; The Scott County Elementary or Middle School with the most percentage of completed* reading logs for their school, turned in by July 29th, wins the new Scott County Super Readers TROPHY!  Let the competition begin!  *”COMPLETED” means 7 books read, no matter the topic.


FREE GED TESTING IS AVAILABLE FOR A LIMITED TIME! - The GED test will be FREE in Kentucky through June 30.  (The usual fee for the test is $55.00.)  Please contact Dianna Waddle at the Center for Life Long Learning at 863-6855 for more information.
