High Attendance Day 9/24/15

Dear LME Parents:

High Attendance Week is here!  September 24th will be observed as high attendance day across the state and in Scott County Schools, and we have some great activities planned to bring awareness to the importance of great attendance.

We all have great hopes and dreams for our young learners.  Join us in our commitment to making sure your child attends school every day possible this year.  Our goal is Every Child, Every Day!  To reach this goal, we need your help—to ensure they are here on time each and every day.

We know that students with good attendance are more likely to be successful in school, graduate on time, demonstrate high academic achievement, and move to college and career opportunities.

To celebrate and promote high attendance day, Lemons Mill Elementary, plans to show IT’S COOL TO BE IN SCHOOL by allowing students to wear hats and sunglasses on September 24th.  We will also recognize each class showing 100% attendance with extra recress.  The class with the highest attendance all week, will receive a special treat the follow week. If our school has the highest attendance out of all Scott County Schools, we receive an ice cream treat from Dairy Queen!

Please join us in celebrating positive attendance every day by ensuring your child is at school—but especially this week and on September 24th, Kentucky and Scott County’s High Attendance Day!

With LME Pride,

Lori Beth Mays, Principal
