Clay Animation is Alive!
Join Terry Hammer, GMS teacher as she leads you step-by-step through the process of clay animation!
Using, clay, Play-Doh, Legos, paper cut-outs, or toys, digital cameras, and Tech4Learning software,
it’s easier than ever for P-12 students and teachers to produce clay animation projects!
Learn how to take simple tools, use the software, and let your imagination soar to engage even the
most reluctant learner!
Participants will receive handouts and are eligible for door prizes.
A few lucky participants will walk away with a Tech4Learning Clay Animation Kit and software!

Time:    9am - Noon
Where: Georgetown Middle School
(specific location TBA)
Out of the Casket and Into the Movies!
Jeanne Biddle and Artie Janow will lead you through the process of magically transforming a writing piece
into a digital movie! It’s all about writing! Learn of the seven elements that move a written piece beyond paper and pencil to
become a living piece of art that includes the writer’s own voice, photos, images, effects, and music! Let your students take
traditional writing to the next level while increasing their writing proficiency!
Participants will receive “how-to” hand-outs and are eligible for door prizes!

Date:     Saturday, October 18
Time:    9am - Noon
Where: (Location TBA)
It’s Not Your Talking Head!
Let Margaret Omlor, SCHS librarian introduce you to the Cleveland Museum of Art, the NY Museum of Mathematics,
NASA, or the Toronto Botanical Gardens without leaving your classroom!
Behold the “aha moment” of an interactive video conference, and experience what your students will see and do during a scheduled event!
Learn how to integrate video conferencing with FREE equipment readily available in the district - what we fondly call “plug and play”.
Spend hands-on time with the camera and remote, devote time to explore the specific websites known as “providers” that offer detailed lesson plans
correlated to content and Kentucky State Standards, or learn how to create an event specific to meet your content and students’ needs!
Leave the workshop feeling comfortable and confident that you can “plug and play”, locate events, schedule, and evaluate a conference with your students.
Handouts will be provided and participants will be eligible for door prizes!

Date:     Saturday, October 18
