Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week May 17-21
We are so fortunate to have such wonderful, caring teachers and staff at Western Elementary. During the week of May 17-21, as the school year is coming to a close, we would like to take the time to recognize our teachers and staff members by doing something for them each day. We are asking students to bring an item in each day for their teacher and favorite staff members who have made their year so special!
Muffin Monday, May 17th                                  Bring in a muffin or two. Volunteers will be inside the doors in the morning to collect the muffins and hand them out.
Tuesday, May 18th                                                 NO SCHOOL
Finger Food Wednesday, May 19th                  With the help of the student body, the PTO will be honoring the faculty and staff with a finger food luncheon. Students are asked to bring in an item to help with lunch based on the assignments below.
Thank-You Note Thursday, May 20th              Have your child make special notes for his or her teacher and other favorite adults at Western.
Flower Friday, May 21st                                      Bring in a flower for your teacher.
Teacher/Staff Appreciation Luncheon May 19
On Wednesday May 19th we will be providing lunch for our teachers and staff members who help make our students feel so special. Please send in the following items with your child on Wednesday the 19th by 9am to help provide lunch as a thank you to our teachers and staff. If you have any questions, please contact Jennifer Williams at jleew74@gmail.com.
Chips, pretzels, crackers.
3rd grade
Salads. Please send any kind of salad.
1st grade
Cheese cubes.
4th grade
Fruit. Please send in cleaned and cut fruit for fruit trays.
2nd grade
Vegetables. Please send in cleaned and cut veggies for veggie trays.
5th grade
Desserts. Please make sure they can eaten with your fingers.
