Long-time Central Office Employees to Retire

January 31, 2018 is the last day of work for three long-time Central Office employees. Congratulations to Yvonne Marshall, Kim Vannarsdall, and Carolyn McMillin!  These three special ladies leave Scott County Schools after a combined 82 years of service and a lifetime of memories.

They have worked behind the scenes for the most part but their contribution has been invaluable.  Yvonne Marshall served as Accounts Payable Clerk. Our district depends on the person who pays the bills and we are thankful for Marshall’s thoughtful attention to detail for the past 28 years.

Kim Vannarsdall has worked in payroll, making sure the 1000+ employees in our district receive our paychecks twice per month.  During her tenure, Vannarsdall has worked in purchasing and benefits and served as a tax clerk for SCS.  She looks forward to traveling with her husband and spending time with her grandchildren.

If you have called Central Office anytime in the past three decades, you have most likely come into contact with Carolyn McMillin, district receptionist and mother-to-all.  She knows everyone and everyone loves her.  “I am so thankful to have had these 27 years working with the greatest people ever,” McMillin reflected.

The trio will retire effective February 1, 2018.  Take a moment to bid them a fond farewell and express your appreciation for all that they have done for Scott County Schools.
