Student Artists Advance to Finals for Governor’s School for the Arts

GSA

This year, 21 students at Scott County High School have advanced to the final round of competition to take part in the 30th annual Governor’s School for the Arts (GSA) summer program.  Each year more than 200 young artists from across the state gather on college campuses spending three weeks of concentrated study in one of nine disciplines.  GSA alumni receive more than $79,500 in scholarships on average each year.  There are 26 scholarships exclusively awarded to this prestigious group.  More than 5000 student artists have taken part in the GSA program since its inception in 1987.  Congratulations and best of luck to the following applicants as they conduct in-person auditions and reviews on March 24 & 25.
