Car Rider Line: For your safety and the safety of all, please adhere to the procedures of the car rider line. All cars that are picking up or dropping off students should enter and exit through AME. If we try to use the Royal Spring entrance it backs things up and can potentially cause an accident. Thank you.
The spring KPREP Window is May 6-17. Once a test has started, students will NOT be able to leave for appointments and then return and complete testing. We are asking that ALL APPOINTMENTS be scheduled outside this timeframe to ensure all students can take tests fully. Therefore, please make necessary appointments during this time after school. The testing window is very tight and make-up sessions are very hard to fit in due to time constraints. It is best for students to be here the full day and ready to test on the testing days. Thank you for your assistance with this scheduling need. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mrs. Fraley in the Guidance Office at 502-570-2390 or at firstname.lastname@example.org .
During KPREP testing, we will need 8 volunteers each day to monitor halls and restrooms. If you would like to help, please go to this Doodle link and sign up: http://www.doodle.com/s4ttg89kzpzted65 . Thank you!
Excuses from the doctor shall specify the date of the student’s absence. Doctor’s notes that indicate that the student was not seen by a physician will not be accepted. After the tenth (10) physician note, the parent/guardian must have a Medical Excuse Form completed by the physician. A student shall be permitted a total of six (6) excused absences per year (a doctor’s excuse does not count toward the six (6) days of excused absences) upon presenting a parental note to the school principal or designee for the following reasons listed below:
1. Death or severe illness in the pupil’s immediate family. The number of days excused for a death will be determined by the circumstances involved and will be kept to the minimum necessary as determined by the principal/designee.
2. Illness of the pupil. Medical and dental appointments will be excused only for the time required to complete the appointment, unless specified by the doctor.
3. Religious holidays and practices.
4. Court appearance when the student’s presence is required by subpoena or citation.
5. Driver’s permit/license test, which will be excused for a portion of the day.
6. One (1) day for attendance at the Kentucky State Fair.
If you take pictures of school events this year, please send a copy of them to our yearbook sponsor, Kristi Ritchie at email@example.com. Thanks!
We have been having issues with access to the Parent Portal. We have been instructed that the following might help: instead of clicking on grades, please click on schedule and then view each class for grades. We are sorry for the inconvenience; we are working on the problem. It appears that parents using the IC app for their smart phones are having difficulty reviewing correct grades because the application is not updating or refreshing correctly. If parents log on via a computer, they are seeing the appropriate grades.
Attention 8th grade parents: The media arts class is in immediate need of photographs featuring 8th grade students for the annual 8th grade video. If you have any candid or action shots of your student active in a Royal Spring sport or club, please email them to firstname.lastname@example.org or send them in with your student. If sending in hard copies, please include student name on backs of pictures so that can return them after scanning. Please have the pictures in by the end of this week if possible. Thank you so much for your help with this special project.
The RSMS staff would like to thank all of our parent volunteers and our parents who donated food and gifts to give us such a special Teacher Appreciation week! We surely felt the love from our parents and students.
All library books are due by this Friday, May 10.
Endeavor students need to bring a clean, white T-shirt for tie-dying on Thursday of this week.

If you wanted to see a game of high intensity from start to finish then you should have been watching your RSMS Girls’ Soccer Team take on Scott County Middle last night in the first round of the conference tournament. Your Lady Titans came away with a 2-1 win over Scott County by coming out very focused and determined.
The first goal was scored by Ashleigh Wilkinson at the twenty-minute mark of the first half and then Madison Cox took a penalty kick to score the second goal of the game for the Lady Titans. Your Lady Titans took a two to zero lead into the half, but then Scott County made a charge back with eventually scoring a goal. This would be the only goal of the night for Scott County despite several other shots at goal. Goalie, Baili Smith, stood strong protecting the goal at all cost, along with a tremendous amount of help from her teammates on defense and offense. The intensity of the game was very high for the entire 60 minutes until the ball was eventually cleared out of bounds and the final 21 seconds ran off the clock for a well-deserved Titan victory.
Your Lady Titans will play Woodford County in the semifinal round on Thursday night at Woodford.
Good luck and congratulations on your impressive win last night.
