Middle School Students Receive Top Honors
Sponsored by YMCA, the Kentucky United Nations Assembly (KUNA) is a mock United Nations forum for schools across the state. During the three-day event students prepare, present and defend bills for the benefit of their assigned country, often dressed in native attire. Seventh and eighth grade students involved in the Scott County Schools Gifted and Talented Program received the Most Outstanding Country award for representing Libya and Morrocco.
During its April meeting, the Scott County Board of Education and Superintendent Patricia Putty offered certficates of achievement to these 36 talented students in appreciation of their outstanding accomplishment.
