Band Announcements

Lesson Forms - Lesson forms should be in the hands of your 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student at this time! The summer lesson program is one of the big reasons our band program is so successful - don't miss out on this great opportunity for quality instruction at a great price here in Georgetown. Times are assigned on a first come, first served basis. Please turn in forms and money by the end of the school year.

8th Grade Only - SCHS Band Camp 2013 - Incoming freshmen and new members: Monday and Tuesday, July 22nd & 23; 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM, both nights @ SCHS. All members: Wednesday July 24 - Friday, July 26 8:30 am - 8:00 pm and again Monday, July 29 - Tuesday, July 30 (done at 4:30 on Tuesday) @ SCHS. Registration forms come home this week and are due by the end of the school year.

8th Grade Parent Volunteers Needed - We have had fantastic parental involvement over the years with our high school band, and this is essential to a successful band program for your students! It is time to consider your involvement for next year's high school band. There will be many opportunities for involvement and parents will meet right before band camp to sign up for committees and projects, but we need to go ahead and set up our uniform committee. We need several parents to help out with fitting students in the fall and organizing uniforms for cleaning and repair in the spring. We need committee members and a uniform chairperson (or 2 co-chairs) for the upcoming year. Our current uniform chairperson will train new members this month - all is organized and laid out with no need to "re-invent the wheel." Sewing experience is not required. Help our kids look great in performances. Contact Mrs. King  - lindsay.king@scott.kyschools.us
