Breakfast Honors Class of 2011
The celebrated Class of 2011 gathered for what has become a time-honored tradition at Scott County High School, Senior Breakfast. Principal Frank Howatt welcomed the class offering words to inspire as he congratulated the accomplishments of the graduates. A few of many include:
3% increase in senior attendance
22 Commonwealth Diploma recepients
13 Governor's Scholars
1 student who attended Governor School of the Arts
113 National Honors Society members
25 Advanced Placement Scholars
2 AP Scholars with Distinction
353 qualifying scores on Advanced Placement tests (achieving college credit)
Seniors achieving a total grade point average of 3.5 or better were donned with gold cords and Commonwealth Diploma recipients also received the gold sash they will wear during graduation ceremonies to reflect this honor.
SCHS Alumnus Anna Fraley Yuhas addressed the class urging graduates to make the most of each day they are granted. Class officers dedicated the time capsule including worthy items reflective of their generation.
