On Monday, February 19, 2018 a ninth grade student made a verbal threat of violence at Scott County Ninth Grade School. Scott County schools take threats very seriously. Administrators at Scott County Ninth Grade School took immediate action in partnership with the School Resource Officer and Georgetown Police Department. After thorough investigation, school and law enforcement officials confirmed that there were no means to carry out any threat. The student was taken into custody.
