Fourth grade classrooms at Anne Mason had a special in-school field trip this week complete with presenters from the Kentucky Historical Society, Salato, and the Kentucky Science Center. All of the day's activities aligned with new science standards and provided students an opportunity to learn about their home state.
At one station students watched a program called "Habitat Earth" inside a portable planetarium. Students were introduced to animials native to Kentucky and learned about inventors from the state. They also created their own unique invention and learned about an important Kentucky landmark, the Governor's Mansion.
