Traffic Lines Continue to be Long at AME
Wow! Car rider lines whether it is morning or afternoon have gotten much longer at Anne Mason this year. We changed the time that we opened the building for car riders this year because of lower numbers of car riders in the morning that we had last year. However, we have now filled requests for 50 new car rider signs for the afternoon, which means our mornings are significantly more than that. We encourage anyone that lives in the Anne Mason district to take advantage of the school buses and ride them both in the morning and in the afternoon. This will cut down on the car rider lines tremendously. Another option now available is to sign up for our new Early Morning Stables program. This will allow an early drop off of 6:30 am. It is only $10.00 a week to have a certified childcare worker take care of your child before the teachers even arrive at school.
Either option will allow lines to get smaller. For now, we will open the doors a little earlier, ask all parents to have their little ones ready to get out as soon as you pull up at the curb, and to drive off as soon as you are able. Any little bit of help will increase the speed of the line.
Thank you for your patience as we work through all these new car riders and figure out how to get everyone in the building in a timely manner.
