Safety is of the highest priority for Scott County Schools. We work to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff members in partnership with local emergency service providers.
Law enforcement agencies, emergency medical care providers, fire departments and emergency management professionals serve alongside representatives of Scott County Schools on a safety and security task force.
Our local safety community is committed to increasing their presence in our schools as a proactive measure. As a result of this commitment, emergency service providers will conduct safety visits to our schools beginning this week in an effort to provide feedback to our district. Law enforcement officers will visit schools and patrol the outside perimeter of school campuses as well.
We thought it important to make parents and community members aware of this partnership, our continued commitment to school safety and the increased presence of law enforcement and emergency services in and around schools in our district as we focus on the safety and security of all students and staff.
We are very appreciative of the support and partnership of Georgetown Police Department, Scott County Sheriff’s Department, Georgetown/Scott County Emergency Medical Service, Georgetown Fire Department, Scott County Fire Department, Georgetown/Scott County Emergency Management and the Center for School Safety.
