November 17th will be a very busy day at Northern filled with lots of exciting things. Since our parents and guardians are a vital part of our school, on November 17th you'll be asked to attend part of the entire school day with your child! We invite you to begin your day at Northern with our "Grab and Go" breakfast starting at 7:20 a.m. or perhaps you may want to join your child's reading or math class. Maybe you can attend lunch - our Family Thanksgiving Lunch - and special area classes! Regardless of the time or the amount of time, whenever your schedule permits, you can visit with us on the 17th. For more information on your child's daily schedule, please check with your child's classroom teacher and/or class newsletter and/or website. One very important thing, though - please do not bring younger or older siblings. Classrooms get very crowded and we want to have space for all parents and guardians... plus, little ones and even older siblings can get our students off task. Thank you!
"Stars Sing Brightly" -- Our fall choral program will be performing on November 17th at 9:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Our students have been working very hard on a variety of hits from a hundred years ago through today! Featured titles like Alexander's Ragtime Band, Crocodile Rock (from "Gnomeo and Juliet"), the Lion King Medley, Never Say Never, and Funny Feet. All our Northern families and friends are invited to bring their dancing shoes and join in the fun.
PTO Christmas Tree Silent Auction - A special event that is happening with Northern's PTO will be the Silent Auction of classroom decorated Christmas Trees! This special Silent Auction will occur on November 17th along with other happenings of the day. The wonderful trees will be displayed in the hallway throughout the school day and evening events. The auction will begin at the start of the school day at 7:30 a.m. and conclude after the close of the Family Book Fair at 8 p.m. that night. Please come and join us to bid on your favorite classroom tree!
Family Book Fair Night will be on November 17th from 5 to 8 p.m.
