The National Beta Club of Western Elementary had a field trip Tuesday, March 17. First, we went to Lexington's Children's Theatre to watch A Thousand Cranes. It was based on a true story, about a girl named Sadako. She was struck with a disease from the atomic bomb that fell into Japan. Her friend gave her advice, saying that if she could make 1,000 cranes, she would live forever. It was touching and amazing! We ate at Giovanni's and toured ECS. This school had lots of villages that we visited, such as Law & Justice, Introduction to Media Arts, Health Science, Pre-Engineering, and BioMed. We got to experience every one of those. The student tour guides were nice and we enjoyed the tour! The National Beta Club loved this field trip and will never forget it!
